Week 3 – RSS feeds
I set up an account on Google Reader and have subscribed to some RSS feeds. It’s a great way to keep up with others. Now on to Wiki’s!
Week 2 – Blogs
I found the background information and discovered how to categorize my entries. Very user friendly. Now I’ll concentrate on the the RSS feeds and go from there.
Week 1 – Library 2.0
I’m trying to figure out this Library 2.0 stuff and don’t feel I’m getting it. I see that there are different ways to have your page displayed, with backgrounds and such and I really like the way they look. Congrats to all of you that have done this! Does being able to change your background depend on the blogging service used?
I am not getting the RSS feed. I’ve added some links to my google site but I didn’t see any of the symbols that they talked about. Perhaps they didnt’ have any symbols. I find this confusing, not knowing enough to know whether or not there is a symbol. Maybe I just need to be more patient and everything will flow as I go along. Wish me luck!
PEI – Matt Minglewood
In February I bit the bullet and at the last minute booked a weekend flight to Charlottetown for the weekend to take in the Matt Minglewood birthday bash. The veteran blues rocker celebrated his 60th birthday at the Charlottetown Civic Centre with East Coast blues star Matt Andersen and Charlottetown’s own Joey Kitson along 1700 well wishers! A great group of friends and some very special cousins from all over hooked up and to attend the concert and had a GREAT time !! Definately a weekend for the memory books!
Atlantic City – NJ
I love to travel, preferably to warm sandy beaches but I’m not fussy I just love getting away even for only a few days. A couple of weeks ago we drove to Atlantic City, New Jersey for the weekend and it was fabulous. Toured a few of the very popular Casinos in town and donated $$ along the way. Taking advantage of the bright warm sun we strolled along the Boardwalk taking in all the sights, stopping at boutiques along the way and indulged in some chocolate-covered strawberries and sea foam fudge. It’s a great little get-away!
